Charles Dougherty won a silver medal for oats in sheaf at the Panama-Pacific International exposition San Fransisco in 1915. This was celebrating the opening of the Panama canal.

Thank you for the information on the Gibbs family. Louisa Anne Gibbs my great grandmother. Her daughter Nora Emily Lane (Webster) also settled in NZ.
