The eve of the Dougherty reunion a practice was held for the Dougherty Haka. The players and some supporters having a sing song.. 'Danny Boy' sung by Paul Dougherty. 98 year old Leo Dougherty's Grandsons and Great Grandsons played a Rugby match against their friends, the team called the Barbarians in the afternoon of the celebrations. At the end of the Game Leo presented his old shooting trophys to each of his Grandsons and Great Grandsons who had played. Special Jerseys were worn for the occasion with the Dougherty crest on their chests. A Haka had been especially written and performed for the day much to the mirth of the Barbarians and spectators
alike.
The evening got into swing with a sing song led by Leo with 'Good Old Donegal' (shake hands with your Uncle Mike) with the boys amusing themselves quite well.
