Charles Ford Beck married Maragret Proctor in Richhill Armagh Ireland. They had the following children:
Thomas Beck born in 1837 in Richhill, Armagh, Ireland. He married Ellen Irwin.
James Beck was born in 1845. He died on 10 Oct 1902. He married Eliza Nisbett in Richhill Armagh Ireland. (My Great Grandparents.)
Charles Beck was born in 1850. He died on 15 May 1901 he married Margaret Drysdale. Charles (my great Uncle) and his family are in the above photo.
Charles married Margaret Drysdale and was a ploughman at Maniototo Station before he came with his wife and the first of his 18 children to live at this the Idaburn Hotel. It was a stopover for Cobb and Co Royal mail coaches. Accomodation 1st Class. Charles bought a coalpit at the Idaburn and later surrounding land for a small farm. . For a few years it was opened as a restaurant and bar and called Whiskery Bills...
Margarets Mother, Margaret Drysdale was the local midwife at Rough ridge and Post Mistress for 23 years.

The Old Idaburn Hotel where Charles and Margaret lived with their 15 children. This was turned into Restaraunt and Bar called "Whiskery Bills" in 2007 but closed after 4 years. Whiskers Bill nephew of Charles lived in a big hut to the left of the hotel.
